In short: Bathukamma Songs shows Telugu lyrics for Bathukamma songs and plays their audio. It has no accounts and no analytics or crash-reporting services. Your favourites, settings and downloaded songs stay on your device. The app shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some device and usage information to show and measure those ads. Where the law requires it, the app asks for your consent first, and you can change your choice in Settings.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This policy describes how the Bathukamma Songs app for Android (package
com.cands.android.btkmsongs) handles information. The app is developed and published by
TechnoBevy ("we", "us").
This policy applies only to Bathukamma Songs. Other TechnoBevy apps have their own privacy policies. When you find, download or update the app on Google Play, Google processes information under Google’s privacy policy.
2. Information we do not collect
Bathukamma Songs:
- has no accounts, sign-in or user profiles;
- does not ask for your name, email address, phone number or other contact details;
- does not include analytics or crash-reporting services of its own;
- does not access your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, calls or your own files;
- does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions; and
- does not send your favourites, settings or listening history to us.
3. Information stored only on your device
The app keeps the following in its private storage on your device. It is not sent to us.
| Stored item | Why |
|---|---|
| The song list and lyrics, and the time of the last update | To show songs offline and fetch only what has changed |
| Downloaded song audio files, and the list of songs waiting to download | To play songs without an internet connection |
| Songs you mark as favourites | To remember your favourites |
| Text size and theme settings | To remember your display choices |
| Whether you chose to download all songs, and whether the rating reminder was shown | So the app does not ask you again |
| Your ad consent choice, where a consent form is shown (stored by Google’s consent software) | To respect your choice on later visits |
4. Information sent when the app connects to the internet
The app connects to the internet for two things. It does not send any identifier that we assign to you.
- Song list updates. The app asks our server for songs that changed since its last update. The request contains only the time of that last update.
- Song downloads. When you play or download a song that is not on your device, the app downloads the audio file from our storage.
Our server and storage are hosted by Amazon Web Services. Like any internet service, they receive technical information that comes with every connection, such as your IP address and the time of the request. We use this only to deliver the songs and to keep the service running and secure, and we do not use it to identify you or to build a profile. We do not keep access logs of these requests. The song list service keeps only technical records of its own operation, such as when it ran and how long it took. These records do not include your IP address, and they are deleted after 30 days.
All connections from the app use encrypted HTTPS.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows banner ads on the song screen and ads within the song list. They are provided by Google AdMob. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google’s ad software in the app collects and shares with Google:
- your device’s IP address, which can indicate your approximate location;
- information about how you interact with the app and with ads;
- diagnostic information about the app’s and the ad software’s performance; and
- device identifiers, such as your device’s advertising ID and app set ID.
This information is encrypted in transit. Google handles it under Google’s privacy policy. See also how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Your choices:
- In regions where consent is required (for example the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the app shows Google’s consent form before ads are requested. You can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy choices.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device’s Android settings (usually under Privacy → Ads, or Google → Ads).
- The app works fully without ads. If you do not consent, or ads cannot load, songs and lyrics are still available.
6. How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. TechnoBevy does not receive personal information from the app. Information is shared only as described above:
- with Google, as the provider of ads (section 5); and
- with Amazon Web Services, which hosts the song list and audio (section 4).
When you tap Share, the app opens Android’s share menu with the song’s lyrics and a link to the app. The app you choose to share with receives that text under its own privacy policy. The rating reminder can open the app’s page on Google Play.
7. Device permissions
| Permission | What it is used for |
|---|---|
Internet and network state (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) | To update the song list, download songs and load ads, and to check whether you are online before doing so. |
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, Android 13 and later) | Requested only when you choose to download all songs, to show download progress. Downloads work even if you decline. |
Foreground services (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK) and keep awake (WAKE_LOCK) | To keep downloading songs, and to keep playing music with notification and lock-screen controls, while you use other apps or the screen is off. |
Read storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, Android 9 and earlier only) | Never requested. It only lets the app keep playing songs that older versions of the app saved to shared storage on those devices. |
Advertising ID and ad services (AD_ID, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS) | Added by Google’s ad software for showing and measuring ads, as described in section 5. |
The app also declares an internal Android permission that is used only for communication within the app itself.
8. How long information is kept, and how to delete it
- On your device: favourites, settings and downloaded songs are kept until you delete them. You can remove them by clearing the app’s storage in your device settings, or by uninstalling the app. If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may back up the app’s settings and restore them when you reinstall.
- Advertising data: Google keeps ad data under its own retention policies. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.
- Server logs: see section 4.
The app has no accounts, so there is no account to delete. We do not hold personal information from the app that we could link to you. If you have a question about deletion, contact us (section 13).
9. Children
Bathukamma Songs is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
All of the app’s connections use encrypted HTTPS, and unencrypted connections are blocked. Data on your device is kept in the app’s private storage, which Android isolates from other apps. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect the service and the information it handles.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to or limit how it is used. Because the app does not send us personal information, most requests are handled on your device (section 8) or with Google for ad data (section 5). For anything else, contact us and we will respond within the time the law requires.
12. Changes to this policy
If the way Bathukamma Songs handles information changes, we will update this policy before or at the same time as the change, and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
