BrainVerse Kids: Memory Match
Privacy Policy

TechnoBevy · Effective date: 6 October 2026 · Last updated: 23 October 2026

In short: BrainVerse Kids: Memory Match is a card-matching game for young children. It has no accounts and never asks for a name, email address or any other personal details. Progress stays on the device. The app shows ads from Google AdMob that are set up for children: every ad request is marked as directed to children, ads are not personalised and are limited to content suitable for general audiences, and the app does not use the device’s advertising ID. Parents can remove the ads with an optional one-time purchase through Google Play, which handles the payment; the app never sees payment details. The app also uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand, in aggregated reports, how the game is played, and Firebase Crashlytics to receive reports when the app crashes. TechnoBevy does not run a server for the app.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This policy describes how the BrainVerse Kids: Memory Match app for Android (package com.brainversekids.memorymatch) handles information. The app is developed and published by TechnoBevy (“we”, “us”) under the BrainVerse Kids name.

This policy applies only to Memory Match. Other TechnoBevy and BrainVerse Kids apps have their own privacy policies. When you find, download, update or buy something in the app on Google Play, Google processes information under Google’s privacy policy.

2. Made for children and families

Memory Match is designed for children aged about 4 to 12 and their families, and is published under Google Play’s Families policy. We do not ask children for personal information, and we do not knowingly collect it. A short arithmetic question (a parental gate) protects the Settings area for grown-ups, which holds the age band, accessibility options, the Remove Ads purchase and Restore Purchases, progress reset, a link to this policy and the “Rate us” button. Children are never shown a purchase offer.

3. Information we do not collect

Memory Match:

  • has no accounts, sign-in or user profiles that leave the device;
  • does not ask for a name, email address, phone number or other contact details;
  • does not access location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, calls or files on the device;
  • has no chat, messaging or user-generated content;
  • does not offer subscriptions, and its one optional purchase (section 8) is paid for in Google Play: the app never sees a card number, UPI details, other payment method or the Google account’s email address;
  • does not use the device’s advertising ID; and
  • does not connect to any server operated by TechnoBevy.

4. Information stored only on the device

The app keeps the following in its private storage on the device. It is not sent to us.

Stored itemWhy
Stars earned on each level, levels completed, total stars and a difficulty score for each level tierTo show progress, unlock the next levels and adjust difficulty to how your child plays
The pack and level most recently startedSo that Play on the home screen can continue where your child left off
The latest Daily Challenge result: its date, whether it was completed, and the best stars, fewest moves and shortest time for that dayTo show that today’s Daily Challenge is done. Only the most recent day is kept
Settings: sound effects, age band, card reveal time, reduced motion and Zen modeTo remember the choices made in Settings
Whether the “rate this app” card has already been requestedSo that it is requested at most once
Whether Remove Ads has been bought, and when Google Play last confirmed itSo that ads stay off from the moment the app opens. No purchase token, order number, receipt, payment or account details are stored

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows a banner ad at the bottom of the pack selection screen. It may also show a full-screen ad when a level’s results screen is closed, at most once every three completed levels and at most once every three minutes. There are no ads while a game is being played, on the level map or when the app starts, and the Daily Challenge never shows a full-screen ad. The ads are provided by Google AdMob, which takes part in Google Play’s Families Ads Program.

After the Remove Ads purchase (section 8) the app shows no ads and stops requesting them. Ads are also not requested while the app is checking with Google Play whether the purchase was made, or when Google Play cannot be reached to check.

The app sets up every ad request for a young audience:

  • each request is marked as directed to children (child-directed treatment);
  • only non-personalised ads are requested, so ads are not based on a child’s interests or past behaviour;
  • ads are limited to content rated suitable for general audiences (G); and
  • the permissions that would give access to the advertising ID and to Android’s ad interest topics and ad measurement services are removed from the app.

To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google’s ad software in the app collects and shares with Google:

  • the device’s IP address, which can indicate approximate location;
  • information about how the app and its ads are used, such as ad views and taps;
  • diagnostic information about the app’s and the ad software’s performance; and
  • device information such as the device model and Android version, and an app set ID.

This information is encrypted in transit and handled by Google under Google’s privacy policy. See also how Google uses information from apps that use its services. If an ad is tapped, the advertiser’s website or app handles the visit under its own privacy policy.

The game works fully offline. Without an internet connection no ads are loaded, and every level is still playable.

6. Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

The app includes Google Analytics for Firebase. It records basic usage events automatically, such as the first time the app is opened, app sessions and app updates; automatic screen tracking is turned off. The app also records game events: the app being opened, a level being started, completed or left (with the pack, level, difficulty tier, stars, score, time and moves), a game being paused and resumed (with the level and whether it was paused with the pause button, the Back button or by leaving the app), card flips, matched and missed pairs, hints, difficulty changes and unlocked level tiers, the Daily Challenge being started and completed (with its date, the pack, and the stars, moves and time), changes made in Settings (sound effects, Zen mode, age band, card reveal time, reduced motion and progress reset) and whether the parental gate was answered correctly. It also records when ads are requested and shown, and when the app crashes (section 7).

For the Remove Ads purchase (section 8) the app records when the purchase screen is opened, when a purchase is started, pending, completed, cancelled or restored, and when it fails, with a general reason (such as a network problem). These events contain only the product name “remove_ads_lifetime”: never a price, purchase token, order number, payment method or account. In addition, when a purchase is completed through Google Play, Google Analytics for Firebase may record its own automatic in-app purchase event, which can include the product, its price and currency, and the quantity.

With these events Google collects:

  • an app instance ID created by Firebase;
  • device model, Android version, language and app version;
  • approximate location (country, region or city), derived by Google from the IP address; and
  • how the app was found on Google Play (the Google Play install referrer).

Analytics does not collect the advertising ID or the Android ID, and its ad-related features (ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation signals) are turned off. Events never include a name, contact details or anything typed into the app. We use this information only in aggregated reports, to see how many people play, which levels are too easy or too hard, how the Remove Ads purchase is used, and which devices to support. Google processes it under the Firebase privacy and security terms and Google’s privacy policy.

7. Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends a crash report to Google so that we can find and fix the problem. A report contains:

  • technical details of the crash: where in the app’s code it happened and the state of the app at that moment;
  • information about the device at the time, such as its make and model, Android version, screen orientation, free memory and storage, whether it is rooted, and the app version;
  • an installation identifier created by Crashlytics, and the Firebase installation ID; and
  • the usage-statistics events (section 6) recorded shortly before the crash.

To report how many sessions run without crashing, the Crashlytics software also sends basic information about app sessions, the app and the device. The app adds nothing about the child or the player to crash reports: no name, user ID, profile or progress. Google processes crash reports under the Firebase privacy and security terms.

8. Remove Ads purchase (Google Play)

Parents can buy one optional, one-time purchase, Remove Ads, from Settings, behind the parental gate. It removes the ads (section 5) and changes nothing else in the game; every level stays free. There are no subscriptions and nothing else is for sale.

  • Payment: Google Play shows its own purchase screen and processes the payment under its own terms and Google’s privacy policy. The app never sees or stores a card number, UPI details, other payment method or the Google account’s email address.
  • Checking the purchase: when the app starts and each time it is brought back to the screen, it asks Google Play whether the Google Play account on the device owns Remove Ads. It passes Google Play’s confirmation of a new purchase back to Google Play to complete it, and does not store it or send it anywhere else. On the device it keeps only whether the purchase was made and when Google Play last confirmed it (section 4).
  • Restore Purchases asks Google Play again, for example after reinstalling the app. Reset progress does not remove the purchase.
  • If a purchase is refunded or cancelled in Google Play, the app learns this the next time it checks, and ads return.

9. How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only with Google, as the provider of ads (section 5), usage statistics (section 6) and crash reports (section 7), and through Google Play, which processes the Remove Ads payment (section 8).

The Rate us button in Settings asks Google Play to show its rating card, which Google Play handles under Google’s privacy policy; we do not receive any information from it. The Privacy policy link in Settings opens this page in the web browser.

10. Device permissions

PermissionWhat it is used for
Internet and network state (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE)To load ads, check the Remove Ads purchase, and send usage statistics and crash reports.
Google Play billing (com.android.vending.BILLING)To offer the Remove Ads purchase through Google Play.
Audio settings (MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS)To play the game’s sound effects.
Vibration (VIBRATE)Declared by the app’s framework; the game does not currently vibrate.

Google’s ad and analytics software also adds technical permissions that it needs to work: briefly keeping the device awake and running short background tasks to send data (WAKE_LOCK, FOREGROUND_SERVICE), and reading how the app was installed from Google Play (BIND_GET_INSTALL_REFERRER_SERVICE). The app also declares an internal Android permission that is used only for communication within the app itself. None of the app’s permissions gives it access to location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, files or the advertising ID.

11. How long information is kept, and how to delete it

  • On the device: progress, the Continue position, the Daily Challenge result and settings are kept until they are deleted. Reset progress in Settings clears stars, unlocked levels, the Continue position and the Daily Challenge result, and keeps settings and the Remove Ads purchase. Clearing the app’s storage in the device settings, or uninstalling the app, deletes everything; Restore Purchases can then recover Remove Ads from Google Play. If Android backup is turned on for the device’s Google account, Android may back up progress and settings and restore them when the app is reinstalled.
  • Advertising data: Google keeps ad data under its own retention policies.
  • Usage statistics: Google Analytics deletes event data linked to an app instance ID automatically at the end of the retention period set in our Firebase project (Google’s default is 2 months). Aggregated reports do not identify anyone.
  • Crash reports: Firebase keeps crash stack traces and the related identifiers for 90 days.
  • Purchases: Google Play keeps its record of the Remove Ads purchase with the Google Play account, under Google’s terms.

The app has no accounts, so there is no account to delete. If you have a question about deletion, contact us (section 15).

12. Security

Progress is kept in the app’s private storage, which Android isolates from other apps. Google’s ad, analytics and crash-reporting software sends its data to Google over encrypted connections, and Google Play handles payments. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect the information the app handles.

13. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to or limit how it is used. Because the app does not send us personal information, most requests are handled on the device (section 11), with Google for ad, analytics and crash-report data (sections 5, 6 and 7), or with Google Play for purchases (section 8). Parents and guardians can also contact us with any question about their child’s information, and we will respond within the time the law requires.

14. Changes to this policy

If the way Memory Match handles information changes, we will update this policy before or at the same time as the change, and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
